Men’s Soccer
-The Vikings will hit the road for two contests this week, beginning with a 4:00 p.m. game at St. Bonaventure today (Monday, September 12), before traveling to Detroit Mercy on Saturday, September 17 to open #HLMSOC play.
-Last time out, Cleveland State dropped its first game of the year, falling to No. 8 Marshall 3-1, with Bojan Kolevski scoring in the third minute.
-Jannis Schmidt earned his second straight Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week award after posting two goals at UIC and a third goal at Army.
Women’s Soccer
-Cleveland State will begin Horizon League play this week, traveling to IUPUI on Thursday, September 15 and hosting Detroit Mercy on Sunday, September 18.
-The Vikings wrapped up non-league play last time out, dropping a 1-0 decision at Canisius.
-Last week, Kathryn Ramicone was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, after recording two goals and an assist against Niagara and Saint Francis.
Volleyball
-Cleveland State will close out non-league play this week, traveling to Kent State on Thursday, September 15 before hosting Akron on Friday, September 16.
-Last time out, the Vikings picked up a 3-1 win against Morgan State in their 2022 home opener.
-Entering the week, Laken Voss is averaging a team-high 3.41 kills per set, while Audrey McConihe is averaging a team-best 4.31 digs per set.
Cross Country
-The Vikings will return to action at the All-Ohio Championships, with the women’s 6K slated for a 6:00 p.m. start on Friday, September 16.
-Last time out, Cleveland State participated in the Tommy Titan Invite, with Hannah Korte finishing second and Ariana Coats placing fifth overall.
-The All-Ohio Championships will mark the third of seven races for the Vikings this season.
Men’s Golf
-Cleveland State will return to action at the Joe Feaganes Invitational, with the two-day tournament taking place on Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13.
-The Vikings opened their 2022 fall slate at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational last time out, with David Laib posting a T15 finish to lead the Vikings.
Women’s Golf
-The Vikings will open their 2022 fall campaign at the Roseann Schwartz Invite this week, with action taking place on Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13.
-This will mark the first of four events for Cleveland State during the fall campaign.
Men’s Tennis
-Cleveland State will open the 2022 fall season at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic this weekend, with Maxime Mareschal-Hay and Mikael Erler earning spots in the prestigious tournament.
-Action will take place September 16-18, with Mareschal-Hay and Erler appearing in the singles and doubles draws.
Esports
-Cleveland State will compete in Week 2 of Activation this week, with contests slated against Ithica, Juniata, Redbird Academy, and Centre College to determine the season’s division placement.
-Last week, the Vikings began their inaugural season, winning in Valorant against Missouri (13-10) and League of Legends with the White Team against Redbird Academy (1-0).

Scored Cleveland State’s lone goal against No. 8 Marshall, giving the Vikings an early 1-0 lead just three minutes into the contest.
Hannah Korte, Cross Country
Recorded a second place finish at the Tommy Titan Invite, posting a 5K time of 19:59 to pace the Vikings.
Audrey McConihe, Volleyball
Averaged a team-best 3.85 digs per set on the week, combining for 50 total digs in three matches. Opened the week with 24 digs at Akron, marking her fourth 20-dig match of the year.
